The Minnesota CDFI Coalition’s data map illustrates the activity of certified Community Development Financial Institutions in the state of Minnesota. You can use this map to view:

  • Total dollars invested
  • Total number of loans
  • Small business and micro-enterprise loans
  • Jobs created or retained as a result of loans

This map uses U.S. Department of the Treasury Data Transaction Level Report data. Numbers are aggregated for Minnesota State Senate Districts and Minnesota State House Districts for 2023 (1-year snapshot) and from 2019-2023 (5-year snapshot).

Users can also add an overlay of Minnesota Economic Development Regions, HUD Qualified Census Tracts (QCTs), or HUD Difficult to Develop Areas (DDAs) for additional context.

This data map is an initial application of using our available information for mapping and advocacy, and your feedback is very helpful. Please let us know how you are using it, where you have issues, and other features you would be interested in – email Carl Swanson, Coalition Strategist, at carl@mncdficoalition.org.
